中心依托上海海事大學(xué)組建而成，突出高校技術(shù)研發(fā)與人才培養(yǎng)優(yōu)勢，服務(wù)國家海洋戰(zhàn)略和上海經(jīng)濟建設(shè)。針對深海油氣鉆采關(guān)鍵部件與裝備和極地環(huán)境低溫鋼的研發(fā)需求，聚焦產(chǎn)業(yè)化工程方向，為深遠海與極地資源開發(fā)裝備提供高性能材料、制定技術(shù)標(biāo)準(zhǔn)，并為相關(guān)企業(yè)提供技術(shù)服務(wù)，解決本領(lǐng)域的“卡脖子”技術(shù)。

The center aims to cultivate talents with the advantages from SMU, to serve the national ocean strategy and Shanghai's economic construction.For the research and development of key materials in the areas of deep-sea oil, and low-temperature steel in polar environment, the center focuses on the industrialization engineering direction, provides high-performance materials and technical standards for far-reaching sea and polar resource development equipment, and provides technical services for relevant enterprises.
