講座題目:Learning multicriteriapreference models: an experimental analysis and its consequences
內容簡介:
? Since the 70’s“ordinal regression” is used for learning additive value function models on thebasis of holistic preference judgments. The decision maker is supposed to beable to say that such and such alternative is preferred to such and such other;this information is translated into constraints of a linear program, whichoutputs an additive value function compatible with the declared preferences(provided such a function exists). Of course, most often, there are many suchfunctions and the linear program is conceived to provide a representative one. Some more recent methods work with all compatible value functions. Inthis talk, we present numerical experiments performed in view of appreciatingthe degree of indetermination of the obtained model or, alternatively, how muchpreference information is needed to determine an additive value function withsome accuracy. Building on these conclusions, we have designed and testedefficient methodologies to question the decision maker in such a way as tomaximize the information contained in the declared preferences. In other words, how to make the constraints of the linear model as strong as possible in orderto reduce the indetermination of the resulting preference model. In the samespirit, we have also studied the learning of another type of preference model, the Electre Tri model. This model of preference assigns the alternatives topredefined ordered categories (such as e.g. “good”, “average”, “bad”) on thebasis of a sort of voting rule. Such a method can be recommended when thecriteria are assessed on ordinal scales.
