主要內容：The lecture that SMU English teacher Graham Osborne will give the path of entertainment in Western societies from the earliest plays of Shakespeare and Marlow through to the rise of Netflix and internet-based entertainment options. For thousands of years the entertainment of people was virtually the same, basically classic musical or traditional music and plays. In the course of the last 120 years the types of entertainment and distribution of that entertainment has changed dramatically and irreversibly. The lecture Graham will give will explain the means and course of this massive change and the ramifications for the future of entertainment.
