講座摘要:
The presentation will discuss 2 Ph.D. research projects at McMaster University:
?
(1) “Energy Storage System for a Port Crane Hybrid Power-train”, and
Energy Storage System for a Port Crane Hybrid Power-train investigates the potential of hybrid energy source systems (HESS) that employ energy storage devices and peak power devices in a combination that is capable of providing average energy while recovering and managing the electrical power system transients.
?
(2) “A Proposed Scheme for High Voltage DC Generation, Interconnection and Transmission”
A high voltage hybrid generator (HG) for wind turbine application is proposed. The output of the HG is rectified to a DC-link. The HG employs a multiphase stator winding that improves power density while eliminating the DC-link capacitors at the machine rectified output. The HG has two rotor field excitations, namely permanent magnet (PM) and wound field (WF). The presentation will discuss wind turbine applications and typical specification requirements for power-train components and their interconnection.
