In 2013, the Chinese government initiated the concept of the “Silk Road Economic Belt and the 21st-Century Maritime Silk Road” (hereinafter referred to as the One Belt and One Road concept: OBOR) in tandem with launching the Asia Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) in 2015, in which 57 countries have joined as members. The OBOR aims “to promote the connectivity of Asian, European and African continents and their adjacent seas, establish and strengthen partnerships among the countries along the Belt and Road, set up omni-dimensional, multi-tiered and composite connectivity networks, and realize diversified, independent, balanced and sustainable development in these countries”. The OBOR is expected to exert multi-dimensional impacts on the international logistics and global supply chain.

?Paul Tae-Woo Lee 教授簡介:

Paul T-W Lee (李太雨) is a Professor from the School of Business IT and Logistics, RMIT University, Melbourne, Australia. He received his Ph.D from the Cardiff University, Cardiff U.K. (01/1987?07/1989). His research interests are in the areas of Maritime logistics and supply chain management. He had published more than 100 journal papers.

During this course, the following scholars will contribute some talks and discussions especially in the scopes of OROB-related issues: 1) Jiuh-Biing Sheu. Yangtse Rive Scholar, Shanghai Dongfang and Qianren Professor (Shanghai Maritime University); Editor-in-Chief, Transportation Research Part E: Logistics and Transportation Review; Distinguished Professor, Department of Business Administration, National Taiwan University. 2) Mu-Chen Chen.
